Fabulous Fascinator Facts...

A fascinator is a headdress that can be worn by a Bride, Bridesmaid, Mother of the Bride or Groom, or indeed any guests that attend a Wedding.

A simple design is perfect for a Bridesmaid, a design with curly wire and perhaps feathers or ribbons looks great on the Mums, and Freshwater pearls and lashings of Swarovski crystals make fascinators into sensational Side tiaras fitting for any Bride!

Fascinator vs Tiara

A traditional bridal tiara sits at the front of the head, usually in the centre and more often than not is symmetrical in design. Fascinators are worn on the side of the head, and their asymmetric look give a modern and edgy look to your wedding outfit. What ever you choose, you can guarantee that with one of my lovingly handcrafted designs, you will feel like a princess on your wedding day!

What to look for when choosing a Fascinator/Side Tiara

Your comfort is of utmost importance: remember you'll be wearing your headdress for many hours, and you want it to be comfortable and secure.

You will need to choose a band that fits well and does not create any pressure behind the ears, my fascinators are created with a comfort fit headband that ensures you will not even notice that you are wearing a headdress!

There are also Fascinator style combs and fancy hairvines available, these have the added benefit of being able to wear them not only on the top of your head, but also in the back of your hairstyle. This gives a versatility to the fascinator and allows you to 'play' with it to find a style that you are happy with before your special day.

What ever hair accessories you choose, I do always recommend taking your chosen pieces with you when you see your hairdresser for your pre-Wedding hair trial! This ensures you will be happy with your hairstyle and chosen headwear on your big day.
